In the Presence of the Lord
Today I was blessed to be able to attend a holy hour of adoration. Our priest instituted the holy hour for Wednesdays of Advent, with the hope that we will be able to continue the practice throughout the year.
I love the peace that comes with making a holy hour. To be in the presence of the Lord, to open our hearts and just listen to Him, and to make our petitions in His presence, is very spiritually rewarding.
I am reminded of what Blessed Mother Theresa said, when she was asked what she says to God during a holy hour. She said, "I don't say anything. I just listen." And when asked what God speaks to her, she said, "Nothing. He just listens."

There is nothing like it, you're right. Thanks for the post. I need to make this effort more often than I have lately.
