Now, THIS is Snow!!

I keep reading on other blogs south of the border about the tough winter you guys are having. But this is Canda, and we just take it all in stride, but then we're used to it.

The Canadian military is in charge of shooting down the avalanches in the National Parks, and you can see they use real cannons. Real toys for real boys.

Just another day in the life of a Canadian winter.

Anyone for snowmobiling?

BRRRR...
that is just a tad bit too wintery for me..
I really am enjoying the mild winter we are having here in NJ...but I am sure that Mother Nature will let us have it eventually :(

P.S.
It does look beautiful though...reminds me of my time in Montana!

I don't do that anymore;I'm okay now!

Everything here North of Detroit is covered with ice and with the sun shining on it, it is past beautiful.

I'm glad I homeschool!
We get to just look at it.

In NYC, one could say that I'm experiencing a Novus Ordo Winter:

It's way out of whack, with some temps at 20C;

Today is 3C.

Well, Karin, I usually don't expect the weather to be so warm & moist that I feel like I have a continuous chest cold:

I do appreciate a dry kind of cold weather.

Good ol Canada snow snow snow except here in Niagara It took till Jan.15 to get winter...Global Warming? I think so..

Micahel-
AHHH..dry cold weather..AHHH!
The feeling of a chest cold may have something to do with the "dirty" air your inhaling over on that side of the river and not the weather :)
(joking!)

Karin?

Wherever you are in NJ, may the air be crisp, dry & cold, as well as fresh;

I've been weather watching in Pennsylvania and Ohio for almost half a century. Haven't seen anything approaching a real winter since 1978. But, oh, my, people whine to no end about what they think are severe winters.
