If you are Australian, you may not want to visit Canada. They have placed Canada on their "Exercise Caution" list for countries to visit.
According to the Australian government, we are a dangerous country where terrorism, forest fires and avalanches can strike at any moment. And don't forget the treacherous incidence of earthquakes, tornadoes, and tsunamis! I've never seen one in my lifetime, but apparently they are a real danger. Oh, and stay clear of our wildlife. You never know when one of our ferociously dangerous furry forest critters are going to jump out and attack. Yup, you better just stay home.

About those dangerous wild animals...... I live in an area where there are grizzly bears, wolves, cougar, lynx, etc., and have never had any encounters with them, let alone a dangerous encounter. Maybe they prefer the tast of Aussie flesh-hmmmm.......
lol. Well I won't let that put me off coming over to Canada. Canada is on my list of places to go one day. Maybe the Australian Govt forgot all about our dangerous snakes that can kill you in less than one hour.
Hey, Therese, look me up when you come to Canada! That is, if you can fight your way through the terrorists, raging fires and politicians -er, i mean rabid skunks!
A good friend is allowing someone to stay in her spare bedroom after being evicted. As she was helping this woman find employment she suggested the local meat packaging plant, that starts employees at $13/hr over the dishwashing job she was considering, starting at $7/hr. The woman took the dishwashing job citing "fear of all those knives" at the meat packing plant (I guess she is exempt from WASHING any knives at her dishwashing job?!?!) as reason to skip the application process. When my friend heard this, she told the woman she truly understood her fear, seeing that there are SOOOOOO many hand-less people walking about their town!
(then she told me that she has to confess an uncharitable use of sarcasm on a regular basis).
Any country whose primary form of currency is called a "loonie" deserves scrutiny.
And watch out for those TV sets flying out of buildings.
(hee)
