I frequently get requests from people who read this blog to be added to my list of Facebook friends. If you are one of these people, you may wonder why I have not accepted your request. When I joined Facebook, it was strictly for staying in touch with immediate family, so that we could share what was happening even though we live at a distance from each other. I consider Facebook to be a useful tool for sharing family photos, happenings and conversations. I do not use it for any other purpose, hence my lack of reply to those people who have submitted friends requests via my email address associated with this blog. Just so you know, you haven't been snubbed, it is just something I seldom use, and when I do use it, it is reserved for family only.

same here. other than family use, facebook serves no useful purpose to me.
I see no point in having a Facebook or MySpace account. But maybe I'm just a neo-Luddite.
Scratch that. I just succumbed.
