Who said it?

(Arab and Pakistani Americans) need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them (Muslims) should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.

And the winner is....Tom in Vegas!!! Yes, Tom, Barack Obama said that he would stand with the Muslims if things (politically speaking)got ugly. Someone please remind me - why does America want him for a president?

First of all things are ugly, so he's a bit clueless to the reality around him. Secondly, I would argue that things are much uglier for Christians then they are for Muslims, since it is politically correct to dump on Catholics but not on Muslims.

"[W]hy does America want him for a president?"

Good question, but I'm afraid the answer to that is above my paygrade.
