Calling all Canadians

A while ago, I received an email asking for a united prayer front for all Americans to restore their country to its Christian roots. I published a post about it here. The idea is for everyone to pray for their country at the same time, spending one minute at a specific time, asking God to restore their country to its Christian roots, to pray for our troops, to ask God to guide the decisions of our politicians, and to bring Christianity into our schools once again.

Isn't it a great idea? I immediately set the alarm on my cell phone to ring at 6 PM to pray for this intention, and now I am asking all Canadians to do the same. Here is what you do:

Every evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time(8:00 PM Central) (7:00 PM Mountain) (6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of Canada, our troops, our citizens, and for a return to a Godly nation.

Stop what you are doing right now and set your alarm. One minute multiplied by the number of people who partake in this prayer could add up to a whole lot of prayers! Let God's will be done.

Third Book of Kings 9:3 And the Lord said to him: I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, which thou hast made before me: I have sanctified this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever, and my eyes and my heart shall be there always.

EDIT: From my sister's blog, Seeking Jesus, here is the prayer Shirley wrote for Canada:

O Jesus, I place our nation under the protection of your Sacred Heart. Help us to do your Will so that we may be strengthened against the evil that threatens our country and our world.
St. Michael the Archangel, protect our troops; keep them safe in their tour of duty.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, I place all our people beneath the shelter of your mantle. Virgin Most Powerful, lead us in becoming a Godly nation. Amen
.

I'll join in! I'll have to write down a prayer so that I can be consistent.

Why not pray for ALL the people of the world at this appointed time?

Anon, the idea is for every person of every nation to pray toether at the same time for their own country. That would be amazing if we all did that!
