Here is the best quote I have ever found about hope, and it's from the Bible. (Romans 5:3,4)
Tribulation worketh patience; and patience trial; and trial hope.
Trials produce hope. Without trial there is no hope. Pretty simplistic, isn't it?

I'm a great one for being 'good' when everything is going well, going according to plan. But as soon as something goes haywire, when my life has entered a trial, I'm the first one to complain, to lose hope, in other words. Paul, the great optimist, reminds us that hope does not disappoint. Thanks for the quote.
Thanks--rain in a time of drought
From trial comes hope...is that why my clients make me take cases to trial, even when I have no hope of winning?
Lol, Anita!
The trial of our Lord's suffering on the cross brought the greatest hope- eternal life. Sometimes it's hard to have hope amidst pain and suffering, and that's when we can turn to the cross as our reminder of hope.
