New to the Blogroll

It's time to add to the blogroll, as I have three blogs that I've been visiting fairly regularly. The first one is called Is My Phylactery Showing? Now, I haven't got the faintest idea what a phylactery is, but maybe Theocoid will come on here and enlighten me. Next, there's Altare Dei, a new blog by Unitas. The guy has a sense of humour, as evidenced in his post, "I just don't get it sometimes" where he says, "Sorry, I can't speak hippie"in reference to poor liturgical art. Another blog that I like is Athanasius Contra Mundum. He has well written articles and does a great job explaining Church doctrine to everyone who happens by his blog. Check out his post explaining why traditional priests will not be forced to say the Novus Ordo.

From Matthew 23:5 (Douay-Rheims, just por vous): "And all their works they do for to be seen of men. For they make their phylacteries broad and enlarge their fringes."

It's in reference to Pharisees who make a show of their devotion. While I try to be charitable, some things get my dander up, and I can take a tone ofrighteous indignation. The title is an acknowledgement that I'm fallible, even though I do my best to follow the teachings of the faith as set forth by competent authorities. Fortunately, the incompetent authorities don't seem to comment on my blog all that often. :-)

Yay! I made Salve Regina's Christmas list! :)

Now I can cross that off "things to do before I die".
