Today it occurred to me that the new dogma of "everybody goes to heaven" is based on the religion of Barney. You know the song. "I love you, you love me, we're a happy family...it's reminiscent of what passes for a homily these days, isn't it?
So until we meet in heaven, let's all kiss and hug and sing along.

ahh well, barney the great big purple wonder from another planet will be like all fads, going, going gone!
some of the NO homilies are really protestant. they are to me like barney, going, going, gone. not even remembered.
It sure would be nice if everybody would go to Heaven; but that pesky free will thing keeps getting in the way.
If only God had known better, He would have made us a bunch of automatons without the choice whether to love Him or despise Him!
Uhhhh....how about we skip the whole whole physical thing and just share a glory Be.
Can we all sing Kumbaya as we are hugging? :)
Can we all sing Kumbaya as we are hugging? :)
Sure, why not? It goes hand in hand with the Barney song.
*shivers* I'd rather go to Hell if that's the case.
Barney could always give you a blessing during Mass, it could be far worse
