Free Books!

I've finally started to set up a reading/prayer room in our new house, and as I go through my Catholic books, I find I have some duplicates, and some others I would like to give away. If anyone would like a copy of the book The Dogma of Hell, plus How to Avoid It, by Fr. Schouppe & Thomas A. Nelson, published by Tan, please leave a comment here, and email me with your contact info. You can find my email address by clicking on my profile. (Oh, the ones in the bookcase are keepers, sorry!)

I will be giving away some others in the next few weeks, and as I get further organized, I will be posting them here.

Marilena, the only book I have on St. Therese is The Story of a Soul, which I think you have already read. I also have a book on St Philomena. I did find a hardcover book of yours, though, about Marian Shrines, which I will return to you at our family get together in April.

TAN publishes some very good books. You can usually trust TAN for orthodoxy.

One of my fast-growing favorites is St. Alphonsus Ligouri (TAN, by the way, publishes an excellent biography of him). I like anything by him; I would love to get my mitts on The Glories of Mary and his masterwork, Moral Theology.

Anita, I also love to read St. Alphonsus Ligouri, and I have the Glories of Mary. Thanks for the idea! I've been looking for a good spiritual Lenten book to read, and I think you just gave it to me!

BTW, I have his book, Duties and Dignity of the Priesthood. It is an amazing book! Every priest should read it. I also have his book Preparation for Death, but I have yet to read it. My sister read it and loved it.
