On Pro Choice Politicians Receiving Holy Communion

Cardinal Arinze makes it sound so simple. Why don't our bishops get it?

"Get the children for first Communion and say to them, 'Somebody votes for the killing of unborn babies, and says, I voted for that, I will vote for that every time.' And these babies are killed not one or two, but in millions, and that person says, 'I'm a practising Catholic', should that person receive Communion next Sunday? The children will answer that at the drop of a hat. You don't need a cardinal to answer that."

I just did a post on this a few days ago. Or, I should say, I touched upon it since the imminent U.S. elections bring this type of hypocrisy to mind.

I LOVE Cardinal Arinze!

Isn't that a wonderful response?

Kids will continue to display more common sense and compassion on religious matters than many adults will nowadays, but if and only if they are well-catechised. Otherwise, it may not last when they grow older.

I just had a 17 year old catholic friend tell me that there is nothing wrong with creating chimeric embryos, and i heard of another telling another girl that pre-marital sex is fine. Depressing..now i know how important a well-formed consience is.

Matthew 18.10: "See that you despise not one of these little ones: for I say to you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father who is in heaven."
And, politicians, if you vote to kill them, you most certainly are despising them! Bet your angels aren't too happy with you!

Our Bishops don't "get it", because they are cowards! If they speak out about abortion promoting catholics, they are afraid that people will leave the church, or that they might lose their tax exempt status.

Got news for 'em--not a single Catholic will leave the church over refusing communion to pro-abort politicians. Some CINOs might leave, but not Catholics. and losing tax exempt status is nothing, compared to what happens to Catholics in Africa, Asia and the Mid-East--or Eastern Europe untill recently.

Our bishops are cowards--when they're not heretics.
