It didn't take long

To get a winner to the Name this Saint post. Mallys identified the painting as Jakob Potma’s 1694 mural in the Jesuit church in Mindelheim, Germany, depicting Xavier’s dream of carrying an Indian on his back; in his missionary fervor he willingly accepted this symbolic burden.

Mallys, if you email me your info, I will send out one of those books to you. (Just click on my profile to get my email address).

Wow....that was a fast response. How interesting to read about this picture. I've never seen it before and think it is wonderful. Is it a holy card or a photo? I love it. Thank for sharing.

Miki, I don't know if this painting has been made into a holy card or not, but it really is a fascinating image isn't it?

I sent the book out to the winner the same day. She picked the Glories of Mary.
