Is it St. John of God who carried the poor who could not walk to the house where he cared for them? Only that doesn't look like a sick person upon his shoulders.
St. Francis Xavier (I knew it was a Jesuit) Jakob Potma 1694 mural in the Jesuit church in Mindelheim, Germany. It depicts his dream of carrying an Indian on his back.
