Follow up to Mass Confusion

Several days ago, I received more than one request to post the link to the video, "What We Have Lost And The Road To Restoration" at Catholic Answers Forums. This quickly became a very heated topic of discussion, and has generated over 400 replies.

Many people, it seems, think the abolition of their beloved Novus Ordo Mass is desired by all traditional Catholics, everywhere. Nothing could be further from the truth. What most traditional Catholics want is simply to have access to their Tridentine Latin Mass. The people who staunchly defend the NO accuse the TLM goers of wanting the NO to be abolished, when all the traditional Catholics want is to be able to attend the Mass of the Ages. How would those same people feel if the TLM replaced their beloved NO, and all they had access to was a few indult NO's scattered over the map? They have a very self-absorbed viewpoint, in my opinion.

Here is an example of the viewpoint of just one of those NO Catholics who posted on that thread. Read it and weep.

And as one poster said, and another seconded, may I add my "third" Amen to "frankly, I'm getting tired of hearing/seeing this whining"? Go in prayer and learn the Lord's thoughts:

The Protestant lifts his heart in morning prayer...

The charismatic raises his arms in prayer...

The Catholic gives thanks in prayer for his new day...

The traditionalist prays and says, I'm glad I'm not one like them, and when will you give me back my rights...

Whom does the Lord hear
?

The interesting thing is, it seems the people who, through raw force, quashed and suppressed the Tridentine Mass hoped that as it passed from living memory, it would just die out. But here we are, forty years later, with generations of people who have known nothing but the Novus Ordo, and there appears to be a groundswell of support for it -- mostly among people who are not old enough to remember the pre-Novus Ordo days.

Kinda makes one suspect that certain mentalities within the Church are being set up -- and have all along been set up -- for a fall, dontcha think? We can lament having to live in such times, but I think that God has a special way of making it up to those who really suffered because of the loss of their beloved Tridentine Mass.

Shhh! Just don't tell the modernists that! They think they are in the beginning of their new springtime.

frankly, iam getting tired of all the neo-modernists attacking traditional Catholics. if they can't be polite and discuss things civilly, then please, don't comment at all.
