Snow!

The first snowfall of the year came today. It's cold enough for it to stay. At least the dogs will be cleaner; no more running into the house with muddy paws!

And the hot tub (in the picture above) will be even more welcoming. I just need to brave the cold to get the courage to step outside into its warmth. It always amazes me how one does not feel cold in an outdoor hot tub, even in very cold weather.

Today is my day off, as I teach catechism on Tuesdays, but I have already heard the ambulance go screeching out several times. The first snowfall of the year tends to catch drivers off guard and they rush into intersections, forgetting they need more time and distance to come to a stop. It pays to be a defensive driver, and I hope everyone has their snow tires on by now.

It may not be cold while you're IN the tub, but getting OUT of the tub and then scurrying back inside...thatwould be another matter.

Anita, no, that is what I meant - I don't freeze after I get out of the tub. It's amazing!

well, its far worse in calgary trust me! we have had a foot and a half since yesterday! 200 accidents yesterday, and even more today as it worsened over night. bus drivers are yelling at city hall because the snow plows are not sanding the streets in school zones. so yeah, its pretty bad here. a bus in my area slid 10 feet down the hill. lucky for him he made it back up the hill! sigh.. thats what you get for living in the rat race of a million plus people!

I was going to say how pretty the snow was but after reading Michele's comment I'm not sure I dare ;)

Awesome snowfall! And I'm sure that bathtub bring a portion of summer with it this winter season. Like you wrote, you just have to brave the COLD distance between the inside of your house and the inside of the bathtub:0)
